Youth in the Park

Community Youth in the Park is a collaborative event designed to embrace all young individuals within our community. Through partnerships with local churches, businesses, non-profits, county agencies, and neighboring towns, we are convinced that together, we can create a significant, positive impact in the lives of our youth. Joining forces ignites our collective strength and enables us to work together for the advancement of our communities. Our vision is to witness this event expand to encompass all the youth of Avery County and beyond, reaching out to neighboring counties as well. Together, let's pave the way for a brighter future for our youth and our communities.

What to expect

Ignite Children & Youth Events 2025

2024 marked the inaugural year of the Ignite Children & Youth events, and it was a tremendous success! We are thrilled to bring this event back in 2025, offering four main gatherings in April, May, August, and October. Stay tuned for more details! (Check HERE for the latest updates.)

We envision an evening filled with laughter, connection, and celebration—an opportunity for every young person to feel seen, heard, and valued. This event brings our community together to foster a supportive, uplifting environment where friendships can grow and spirits can be renewed.

Safety First
The well-being of every child is our top priority. While we recognize that accidents can happen, we are taking every precaution to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Our goal is to provide a secure and welcoming space where young people can have fun while building meaningful relationships.

Event Schedule
📍 Location: Elk Park Town Park

Dates: April 23rd, May 28th, August 27th, October 1st, 2025
⏰ Start Time: 6:00 PM (Arrive at your convenience)

Warm Welcome: Upon arrival, everyone will receive a friendly greeting from a community leader, such as the mayor, sheriff, police chief, local minister, or county commissioner.
Dinner & Refreshments: Nutritious meals, snacks, and beverages will be available for all attendees, including adults.
Opening & Devotional: 6:15 PM
Live Music: 6:30 PM
Activities & Fellowship: 7:00 PM
Event Conclusion: 8:00 PM (Guests are welcome to stay and enjoy the evening longer.)
